BRIDGES & Yes She Can Partner for BRIDGES’ Independence Café at the Palisades Center Mall
BRIDGES and Yes She Can, Inc. are thrilled to announce an exciting joint collaboration in support of women with Autism and persons with disabilities. Our nonprofits have joined forces to bring Girl AGain, an American Girl resale shop, to BRIDGES’ Independence Café – A Unique Boutique in the Palisades Center Mall.
We invite you to The Grand Welcoming Celebration at 10 AM on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the BRIDGES Independence Café – A Unique Boutique on the second floor of the Palisades Center Mall.
BRIDGES is Rockland’s Independent Living Center, a community-based, peer-driven, cross-disability, not-for-profit organization, whose mission is to remove barriers and advance autonomy for people through advocacy, education, and action. We serve Veterans, seniors, justice-involved persons, and persons with short- and long-term disabilities.
Westchester-based Yes She Can, Inc. helps teens and young women with autism spectrum disorders and related social and learning disabilities develop transferable job skills to enable them to join and be successful in the competitive workforce. Their program is incorporated in an authentic business setting, Girl AGain, a resale boutique for American Girl dolls and all their accessories and books.
Replicating Girl AGain’s flagship on a smaller scale, BRIDGES’ Independence Café – A Unique Boutique will stock authentic, gently used American Girl dolls, clothing, furniture, accessories, and books that have been cleaned and prepared for sale at good prices by the Yes She Can trainees. Proceeds from sales will support both nonprofits and their respective missions.
