Habitat NYC and Westchester is celebrating four decades of building homes, communities, and brighter futures for countless New York families.
This year marks a monumental milestone for Habitat NYC and Westchester as they celebrate their 40th anniversary. Under the theme “40 Years of Foundations for the Future,” the organization is not just commemorating four decades of constructing and preserving houses. They’re celebrating the building of homes, communities, and brighter futures for countless New York families.
Their 40th Anniversary gala, scheduled for October 22 at New York City’s Gotham Hall at 1356 Broadway in Manhattan, promises to be an evening of inspiration and entertainment. Here’s what attendees can look forward to:
Honoring a Housing Justice Champion: They’ll recognize City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams for her outstanding contributions to affordable housing in New York. Under her leadership, the Council has made significant strides in increasing housing supply and funding for affordable homeownership opportunities across the city.
Star-Studded Affair: The event will be hosted by the dynamic Angela Yee, award-winning media personality, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. For those who love to dance, there will be an electrifying After Party featuring DJ Mary Mac, known for spinning tracks for Madonna herself!
Celebrating Impact: The evening will showcase 40 years of Habitat NYC and Westchester’s work through heartwarming stories from multiple generations of Habitat homeowners. It’s a testament to the lasting impact of the organization’s mission.
Gala Highlights: Guests will enjoy a dynamic musical and entertainment performance, exquisite seated dinner, and thrilling live fundraising auction. It’s an opportunity to directly support Habitat’s ongoing efforts to help our communities build equity and achieve housing stability through permanently affordable homeownership.
This gala isn’t just a party – it’s a celebration of the foundations Habitat has laid, both literally and figuratively. From the concrete they’ve poured to the opportunities they’ve created, they’re honoring their past while looking forward to a future where every New Yorker has access to a safe, affordable home.
The event serves as a celebration of hope, community, and the power of home. Together, supporters and Habitat NYC and Westchester will continue building foundations for a brighter future for all New Yorkers.
