Come See the Catholic School Difference.

Faith, community and academic excellence have always been hallmarks of a Catholic education. These values have remained steadfast throughout the Archdiocese of New York’s long and distinguished history.

Inspired by its rich past and building on that tradition of excellence, New York Catholic Schools continue their mission to educate students intellectually, spiritually, morally and physically in a safe, nurturing environment; and they remain dedicated in their commitment to provide a Catholic education to every child who seeks it.

In recent years, archdiocesan schools have made substantial investments in technology and educational infrastructure. This improved capability has enabled exciting innovations, like the expansion of blended learning, which not only leverages computers and educational software as tools of instruction in addition to traditional teaching methods, but also facilitates individualized learning, testing and measures that allow faculty to address every child’s unique learning needs.

The increased focus on technology has provided data to inform instruction for better educational outcomes and helped transition schools to a more detailed, informative report card, engaging families in their child’s education. Thanks to generous benefactors and supporters, New York Catholic Schools have created new programs to bolster interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

In their 2023 NYS Test Scores, New York Catholic school students continue to outpace students at many other school systems. Their English Language Arts (ELA) scores have remained steady, while Math scores have improved by 11 percentage points, demonstrating that the proactive steps the schools took to keep schools open and safe has made the difference in preventing the pandemic-induced learning loss seen at many other schools.

Catholic School high school graduation results are also impressive: over 99% of Catholic high school seniors graduate, and the vast majority of these grads go on to college or post-secondary education.

The Archdiocese of New York is one of the largest providers of early childhood programs in New York state, with thousands of children in pre-K3, pre-K4 and free Universal Pre-K (3K and Pre-K For All) programs.

And the Archdiocesan schools are committed to maintaining both the quality and affordability of their schools. Financial aid and scholarships are available at many schools.

Parents can find a school, schedule a school tour or submit an online admissions application by visiting catholicschoolsny.org/admissions, or by calling the bilingual parent helpline, (646) 794-2885, from 9am to 5pm Monday-Friday. A Catholic education is the best investment a parent can make in their child’s future.
