2024 Cinco de Mayo Celebrations in Westchester

Celebrate & Learn: Cinco de Mayo!
Take a trip to Queens to celebrate and learn more about Cinco de Mayo. Kids will enjoy a piñata making workshop as well as a talk about the historic significance of Cinco de Mayo. Led by Sebastian, a local artist, kids will learn more about his experiences and how holiday is understood in Mexico and in the U.S. The event is free but registration is required. Puebla: The Story of Cinco de Mayo by Calpulli Mexican Dance Company
Enjoy an evening of culture and dance from the Calpulli Mexican Dance Company. This will include pieces from Puebla: The Story of Cinco de Mayo with songs, dances and stories. Free First Fridays: Mariachi for May
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with live music from Mariachi Citlalli. Incredibly, this band is made up of third-generation performers who have been performing in the New York area since 2000. Additionally, the concert includes traditional and contemporary sounds and rhythms with dancers performing selections from the Indigenous celebrations for which mariachi was named. New Rochelle Cinco de Mile
Enjoy Cinco de Mayo as a family by participating in the New Rochelle Cinco de Mile. This fun run includes a tot trot for kids and a one-mile race. Additionally, proceeds from the race donated to a graduate of New Rochelle High School Class of 2023 who has gone “above and beyond” in the community.
