Exciting news for cookie lovers (isn’t that everyone?)! Crumbl Cookies is opening a new location in Westchester. Founded in 2017 by Jason McGowan and Sawyer Hemsley, the brand quickly grew from a cookie shop to a booming franchise with over 700 locations in 45+ states.

The new Crumbl Cookies White Plains location is owned by Seth and Megan Neeleman who are so excited to serve up delicious treats to cookie-crazed fans in Crumbl’s perfectly postable pink boxes.

To celebrate the opening (soft opening on March 16th and Grand Opening on March 17th), consumers can enjoy a delicious menu featuring six of the 275+ weekly rotating flavors, including Crumbl’s award-winning Milk Chocolate Chip cookie. Some other Crumbl specialty flavors consumers might also enjoy include Cornbread, Cookies & Cream, S’mores, Key Lime Pie, Peppermint Bark, Caramel Popcorn, Buttermilk Pancake, Galaxy Brownie, and many more.

To learn more about what makes Crumbl so special we spoke with one of the owners about this exciting location and what delicious treats you can expect.

Westchester Family: What made you decide to open a Crumbl location in White Plains?

Megan Neeleman: Seth is a White Plains native and while living in Utah, Crumbl became our family’s favorite treat! During a visit back home to Westchester County, we realized that our friends and family here would love the product and the brand.

We quickly decided to move back to New York, bringing Crumbl to the Big Apple with our Manhattan stores, and are thrilled to open a store closer to home. We’ve spent months perfecting the Hartsdale location to provide an irresistible experience for customers.

As local business owners, we are looking forward to sharing delicious cookies with our neighbors! Together with our crew, we are thrilled to finally open our doors to bring our friends and family here in Hartsdale together over a box of the best cookies in the world.

Westchester Family: What makes Crumbl different from what’s out there?

Megan Neeleman: We have a rotating menu that changes every week! With over 200 flavors, there’s something for everyone. Our incredible development team comes out with new flavors every year. Our customers love to get together with friends and family every week to try the lineup and rank the weekly cookies.

You will find that a lot of our most popular flavors come from classic treats that we all know and love (Oreo, Buckeye Brownie, Rice Krispie, S’Mores, French Silk Pie, Waffles and Syrup, to name a few!). Which you can all see being made in our open-concept kitchen! You’ll witness our bakers cracking eggs, and mixing flour and sugar…we do it all in-house!

Our presence on social media also sets us apart! We have over 3.5 million followers on Instagram and over six million on TikTok. Our content is engaging and unique. Of course, it’s also a viral trend to film yourself tasting and ranking the new flavors every week.

Lastly, I’d say being locally owned and operated! My husband and I are members of your community and running this Crumbl store is our full-time job. We appreciate that the community wants to support our family.

Westchester Family: What are some of your favorite Crumbl flavors?

Megan Neeleman: That’s a tough one! We’ve tried a lot and our best-selling “milk chocolate chip cookie” has to be #1. Lucky for our customers, it’s on the menu every single week!

We also love the Oreo cookie, key lime pie and dulce de leche. There’s something for everyone! But keep in mind, we have 275+ flavors that rotate weekly. Our flavors are released to the public every Sunday night.

Westchester Family: What are some of your plans to connect with the Westchester community at your new location?

Megan Neeleman: We are so excited to become ingrained in the local Westchester County community! We want to see and meet as many of our neighbors as we can! That’s why we are hosting a “coloring contest” for anyone that wants to enter! Just drop off a “cookie inspired” drawing to our store during opening weekend (Friday, March 17-Saturday March 18) and you will be automatically entered to win a free box of cookies. Be sure to include your email or a parent’s email on the page so we can contact you. We will pick 5 winners.

Throughout our opening weekend, we will also be giving away free Crumbl swag and free cookie cards with random orders! And lastly, the first 50 customers on March 17 will receive a free cookie card with their order.

We are also always looking for philanthropic opportunities! Reach out to our store ny.whiteplains@crumbl.com with any donation requests :)

Westchester Family: What are some of your favorite things to do in Westchester?

Megan Neeleman: We love a Saturday morning walking around Stew Leonard’s! It’s our happy place. Our passion for good food runs deep! Then we love to go for a walk to The Kensco damn. We try to stay active to balance out the cookies.
