Fencing Academy of Westchester (Hawthrone)

The Fencing Academy of Westchester offers a variety of levels, ranging from beginners to Olympic-level fencing.  All new families start with a tour of the facility and a free trial lesson. Classes include a kids class, epee open fencing, intermediate class, foil open fencing, saber mini class, competitive class, and private lessons. They also offer a summer fencing camp for beginners to advanced athletes. Programs starts for kids ages six and up where fenders will learn how to sharpen their skills, use fencing weapons, learn the fundamentals, enjoy competitive games, and fun activities. Tim Morehouse Fencing Club (Port Chester)

Tim Morehouse Fencing Club has locations in Westchester, New York City, and Connecticut. Students can start with a trial lesson ($40 for 20 minutes or free on Saturdays) to get a feel of the program. They offer class packages, flex packages (for non-members), and a monthly membership. Classes include ofoil – bouting, a foil group class, saber youth classes, private lessons, saber youth elite, and much more. They also have a summer fencing camp where kids (beginners, intermediate level, and competitive fencers) will learn the basics of fencing such as footwork, blade work, and strategy. Scarsdale Fencing Center (Scarsdale)

Scarsdale Fencing Center has three programs for kids such as a youth and beginner program, intermediate program, and an elite program. In the youth and beginner program, kids will learn the basic fundamentals of fencing. This includes footwork, handwork, distance control, simple tactics, and techniques. They offer group and private lessons as well as a fencing camp that runs from June 12th-September 1st and a Spring Youth Club Competition for  intermediate fencers. Sheridan Fencing Academy (White Plains)

Sheridan Fencing Academy has locations in Westchester, on the Upper East, and Forest Hills. Classes for kids are divided by age that includes ages 4-6; ages 7-9; 10 and up; and adults. Kids ages 4-6 start by learning the many dynamics of this sport through fun, games, play, coordination activities and more.  Kids ages 7-9 learn more about the sport of fencing through immersive play. The class helps to strengthen coordination, balance, and concentration via various activities. Older kids (ages 10 and up) continue to develop their practice through ten skill tests. They also have a summer fencing camp for kids age seven and up.
