Libraries with Free STEM Programs in Westchester

Eclipse week is coming to a close this year, but if your little ones are still excited about everything they’ve learned about science this week, here are five local libraries with upcoming STEM programs and events that might help keep their interests piqued.

STEM programs (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) are programs for children that aim to provide hands-on learning experiences that teach anything related to science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. These topics look different for all age groups, and our local libraries provide accessible opportunities for children to learn outside of the classroom with members of the community and our families as well.

STEM and STEAM programs have been excellent additions to our communities and are great ways to get children excited about learning. They’re often hands-on workshops so kids have fun while learning new and exciting concepts.

The best way to ensure these programs continue to grow and thrive in our communities is to get out there, attend these events, and show our interest. Our local libraries are the perfect place to do so.
