Impact100 Westchester welcomes members, prospective members, and friends to a special Meet and Mingle event featuring Molly Penn and Deborah Flood. This fall event will provide an opportunity for those who are interested in learning more about Impact100 Westchester membership, the grant process, and the local nonprofit community. The event will take place on Monday November 18th, 7:30pm, at the Lounge in 1 City Center, White Plains, NY.

Those interested in attending should RSVP to Impact100 Westchester at Impact100Westchester@gmail.com.

Impact100 Westchester is a philanthropic collective giving women’s organization started in January, 2013 that brings together 100 women in a common purpose: to award an impact grant of $100,000 every year to a Westchester County nonprofit organization that would otherwise not have access to this level of funding.  It is based on the Impact100 model that has been successful in over 15 cities.

The organization’s mission is to increase the number of women involved in local philanthropy, raise awareness of the unmet needs of nonprofits in Westchester County, encourage members to become more involved with local charities, and make an impact on the long term sustainability of  Westchester County’s nonprofit community.

The organization will accept applications that cover one of four main focus areas: education, health and wellness, environment, and arts and culture. To be considered, applicants must be located in Westchester County. The organization will review applicants’ financial information and conduct extensive site visits.

The membership drive will continue thru December 15, 2013, with the goal of awarding a grant in June, 2014.
