The JCC of Mid-Westchester in Scarsdale hosted a September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance event. Some 700 volunteers gathered and participated in many goodwill activities including assembling Rosh Hashanah holiday foods, greeting cards and hand-decorated picture frames that were delivered through Bronx Jewish Community Council in cooperation with UJA-Federation of Westchester. The event, a Day of Chesed (kindness), Service and Remembrance, brought together participants of all ages from throughout the county to support many activities and programs benefitting 14 local agencies.
