Happy June, Westchester family! This month is packed with lots of events to kick off summer fun with the entire family. In Westchester, we’ve got festivals, celebrations, and so much more to enjoy in June. This weekend, we’re bringing you and your family all of the fun things happening this Westchester weekend, so start making plans for a weekend of fun!

June 5th-8th

Katonah Firefighter’s Carnival 

Get ready to kick off the summer at the Katonah Fire Department Carnival. It will be a blast from June 5th to June 8th. There’ll be tons of exciting rides, fun games, and all your favorite carnival snacks.

Thursday, June 6th

National Eyewear Day

Exciting news for Westchester families! Zyloware and Optical Academy are hosting a free community eye exam event on June 6th to celebrate National Eyewear Day. The event, which will be held at Zyloware’s corporate office in Port Chester, NY, from 4–6 p.m., will offer free eye exams and glasses to Westchester families. Members of all ages who need vision care are welcome.

June 6th-9th

Armonk Lions Club Fol-de-Rol Festival 

Experience four days of excitement at the annual Fol de Rol County Fair! From Friday, June 6th to Sunday, June 9th, you can enjoy thrilling rides, captivating entertainment, a variety of food trucks offering delicious treats, and a plethora of fun activities for the whole family.

Friday, June 7th

Hastings-on Hudson: Friday Night Pride

The community of Hastings is coming together to celebrate on Friday, June 7th. From 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Warburton Ave. will be closed to traffic for Friday Night Pride. The festivities begin with a pre-event at Good Witch from 3:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., featuring family banner-making and a march to Warburton at 5:45 p.m. led by the Brass Queens. The main event at VFW Plaza will include a live concert with a massive lineup of incredible musicians, dancers, performers, and more.

There will also be free, family-friendly activities such as a giant rainbow slide, face painting, spray paint art, kids’ craft activities, dancing, community quiltmaking, a scavenger hunt, temporary tattoos, and games. Plenty of vendors will also be offering delicious food, rainbow cookie decorating, LGBTQ+ books for all ages, rainbow swag, and tons more.

Friday, June 7th – Saturday, June 8th

Yonkers Pride

Yonkers Pride festivities will begin with the Yonkers Flag raising on June 7th, a Kick-Off Party on the same day, and a massive Yonkers Pride Festival on June 8th. It will be a weekend full of Pride. The Yonkers Pride Festival is organized by the City of Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano’s LGBTQ Advisory Board, the Yonkers Pride Planning Committee, and the Downtown Yonkers Business Improvement District.

Saturday, June 8th

The Sleepy Hollow Music Festival 

The Sleepy Hollow Music Festival is coming to the banks of the Hudson River on Saturday, June 8th, 2024! Families can join the event at Kingsland Point Park for a full day of live music, food and drinks, interactive art highlighting the Hudson Valley, and kids’ entertainment.

Saturday, June 8th

New Rochelle Pride

New Rochelle will begin its festivities on June 5th, with a Pride month gala held at The Rotunda Gallery at City Hall. The festivities will continue with a Pride festival on June 8th, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Families can find carnival games, food trucks, live music, vendors, and more at Ruby Dee Park, Lawton Street, New Rochelle.

Sunday, June 9th

Beacon Sloop Club’s Strawberry Festival 

Take a trip to Beacon for the Beacon Sloop Club’s Strawberry Festival. Held at Pete and Toshi Seeger Riverfront Park, this free event also includes live music from two solar-powered stages, activities for the kids, and shopping from local craft, food, and drink vendors. And, of course, you must head to the Strawberry Tent to buy some fresh strawberry shortcakes, smoothies, and chocolate-covered strawberries! 

Sunday, June 9th

Tarrytown Pride

Families are invited to celebrate Open Streets Tarrytown Pride on June 9th from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event will feature live music, street dining, and activities for all ages. Residents can meet local LGBTQ+ organizations and vendors, take a selfie under the giant rainbow, and leave a note on the Love is Love tree. It’s an excellent opportunity to enjoy shopping, dining, and strolling the streets with the entire family.

Sunday, June 9th

Yonkers Rotary Charitable Car Show

The Yonkers Rotary will host its annual charitable car show on Sunday, June 9th (Rain Date: June 15). The event is open to all types of cars and motorcycles. Funds raised from participants will provide scholarships to high school seniors in Westchester who are currently enrolled in automotive programs and continuing their education in the automotive field. Spectators can attend for free and will also have access to food trucks and music.
