Labor Day Weekend Events in Westchester
Can you believe it’s almost Labor Day weekend?! Even though this is the traditional marker of the end of the summer, there’s still plenty of warm days ahead. As we get ready for back-to-school, we are excited to share some fun ways to make the most of this long weekend. You’ll find a tour of the Untermyer Gardens, the Balloon Festival, the New York Renaissance Faire, live music, and more. And of course, you can always hit up one of Westchester’s beaches or pools to cool down this weekend.

Sunflower Festival
Attend the 5th annual Sunflower Festival at Barton Orchards. Families will love having access to 11 varieties of sunflowers in their rolling, five-acre fields. 32nd Annual Balloon Festival
Enjoy a weekend of activities at the 32nd Annual Balloon Festival. The weekend includes a range of different activities such as morning yoga with balloons, live music, rides, food trucks, games, and more! Living History: Native American Reenactor
Come out for a hands-on presentation about Algonkian life in the Northeast during the 18th Century with Drew Shuptar-Rayvis (Pekatawas MakataweU “Black Corn”). Drew will take you on a journey exploring changes in Algonkian life during the early-1700s, including daily living, customs of war, adoption/captivity, alliances, and friendships and marriages between Natives, Europeans and Africans. 2023 Arts & Crafts Hudson River Festival
Enjoy a celebration of arts and crafts at the annual outdoor Hudson River Arts & Crafts Festival. Location on Croton’s Senasqua Park, you can check out jewelry, pottery, sculpture, paintings, photographs, books, embroidery, woodworking, multimedia artworks, gnomes, and more. Uncle Shoehorn’s Funky Corn Festival
Enjoy a fun family day at the Wright Family Farm for all this corn. Untermyer Gardens History Tour: Walled Garden to the Vista
Take a tour with your family of the the beautiful Untermyer Gardens. Led by their expert volunteer docents, the tour will take you to the Walled Garden, its Lower Terrace, and the Vista.
