About the Experience
Airbnb chose a glorious mansion in Bedford, New York, as the perfect canvas for this new, unique stay. It’s part of their latest summer release, “Icons.” Airbnb’s new “Icons” category offers unique experiences hosted by incredible icons across music, film, art, sports, and beyond. These extraordinary experiences are available exclusively on Airbnb, and the platform plans to launch new iconic experiences every two weeks.
The first 11 icons were revealed last week, including spending the night in Disney and Pixar’s Up House, a stay in Prince’s Purple Rain House, and the X-Men ’97 overnight visit and experience. The goal for this experience was to create a breathtaking replica of the estate featured in the latest Disney+ series, X-Men ’97, and they succeeded.
The mansion offers a retro retreat for families while also being in a serene neighborhood that makes for the perfect family getaway. X-Men ’97 has brought nostalgia to X-Men fans everywhere as it is a continuation of the original series that aired in the late 90s. Because of this, the mansion has the same nostalgic feel but with an exciting artistic twist. The estate underwent an impressive transformation, as every detail was meticulously crafted to bring the X-Men universe to life. The result is a stunning masterpiece that will captivate and amaze families.
Prepare to be transported into the thrilling 2-D universe of X-Men and Marvel comics. The experience is packed with exciting activities, including a new student orientation video from Jubilee, the chance to conduct experiments in Beast’s lab, an X-Man training session in the Danger Room, a visit to the iconic War Room for team briefings, and the opportunity to try on Cerebro. The overnight stay offers a thrilling choice of accommodations, from Jubilee’s 90s-inspired bedroom to Wolverine’s room straight out of the series, Beast’s lab, or the new recruits’ dorm room. Every moment of this experience is guaranteed to be a blast for the entire family.
Things to Know
The experience will begin at a secure rendezvous point, where the “new mutant student orientation guide” will shuttle you to the X-Mansion, followed by a tour of the home. The mansion has four bedrooms, five beds, and 2.5 baths, so there is plenty of room for the entire family. Families should know that this experience, while family-friendly, is best suited for families with middle-aged children 13 years and older. Guests must be able to provide a government-issued ID and will be responsible for their travel accommodations to and from Bedford, New York. There is a maximum of 8 guests per stay and 12 per visit to train like an X-Man. No pets or parties are allowed.

The listing is live, $97 a night, and families can officially request to stay at the mansion. If selected, you’ll be notified by May 25, and confirmed stays will occur in June.
