More than 250 adults and children enjoyed a performance by Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion at Chappaqua Crossing to benefit Mount Kisco Child Care Center (MKCCC).
Before Sarah Lee Guthrie, granddaughter of the legendary singer-songwriter and folk musician Woody Guthrie, and her husband, Johnny Irion, took the stage, MKCCC pre-schoolers performed Woody Guthrie songs for parents and family members.
All proceeds from the event go toward MKCCC’s Scholarship Initiative, which provides tuition assistance to children in need who would not otherwise be able to enroll.
