Exciting Free Summer Series Arrives in New Rochelle

There’s a new free summer series coming to New Rochelle this weekend! The hosts, RXR, Casaroma Cafe, and The Lincoln Park Conservancy, have curated a diverse range of fun weekend events designed especially for New Rochelle residents and families. This series also welcomes Westchester residents and families to New Rochelle to see the many changes the city has made in the last few years to revitalize the town and create space for community growth. From arts and crafts and outdoor games to a dog fashion show(!), this series brings six weeks of free fun for New Rochelle families to enjoy, and we have all the details on everything starting this weekend.

Be sure to check out Sprinkler Parks and Water Playgrounds in Westchester.

The Hosts

RXR is a cutting-edge real estate investment firm that focuses on managing, operating, and developing properties while positively impacting the communities it serves. It is committed to implementing a customer—and community-centered approach in everything it does and aims to provide services and products that create enduring value for all.

If you’ve had the opportunity to drive through the heart of New Rochelle and see the city’s latest developments, RXR is likely behind them. This master developer is looking to revitalize the city while maintaining its core values of building and putting the community first.

Joseph Graziose, Jr., Executive Vice President of Development Services at RXR, states, “Since RXR began its work in Downtown New Rochelle nearly a decade ago, our vision was to create a community where people come together, grow, and thrive. Now, as we look toward the imminent grand opening of Two Clinton Park and the completion of the public plaza, we encourage all New Rochelle residents and visitors to come Downtown and make summer memories; we are grateful to be able to provide this series and look forward to meeting and getting to know more people in our community.”

A huge part of bridging community connections is connecting with local organizations that have already played an integral role in providing services to families. This is where The Lincoln Park Conservancy Inc. comes in. The Lincoln Park Conservancy is a nonprofit organization based in New Rochelle with a mission centered on history and New Rochelle families and residents.

Their website states, “Our mission is to preserve, document, educate, and promote the rich history of the Lincoln Corridor and its historical connection to the local and global community. Our mission also extends to equity in the distribution of resources for all, especially in the food insecurity space.” This nonprofit group has stayed true to its mission by providing programs to residents that address food insecurity for families of New Rochelle.

RXR and The Lincoln Park Conservancy have tapped a local favorite and beloved new community business, Casaroma Cafe, to partner up and bring this delightful new series to New Rochelle.

Casaroma Cafe is bringing coffee, culture, community, and collaboration to New Rochelle families one cup at a time. In just a little over a year, this specialty coffee shop owned by New Rochelle locals Yaretsy Flores, Kevin Rucker, and Donnell Culver has become a locally loved shop that families can’t get enough of. This team of three has come together to bring coffee to New Rochelle and community togetherness while providing a safe and fun space for families. Alongside RXR, Casaroma is one of the latest gems in New Rochelle, looking to build the city up and give back to the families that have become part of their ever-growing community.

Yaretsy Flores, Co-Owner of Casaroma Cafe, says, “I’m ready to activate the space and bring the community together with fun, family-friendly events! Bringing people together has always been the center of everything we do, and this is just another avenue that I’m excited to explore.”

Kevin Rucker, fellow owner, adds, “RXR is an integral community member and vocal advocate for New Rochelle. We’ve grown our business as their partner and can’t wait to come together to activate the plaza and bring summer fun to the heart of Downtown. We’ll be serving our delicious coffee and treats, as well as many new surprises attendees won’t want to miss.”
