Westchester’s Winter Wonderland Drive Thru Holiday Light Extravaganza

November 23 – December 31, 5 pm –9 pm

Westchester’s Winter Wonderland Drive-Thru Holiday Light Extravaganza returns to Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla for its eleventh season, featuring thousands of dazzling lights, impressive light tunnels, and a live Santa Claus. New for 2024 is a 125-foot pixel LED wall, a Live Ice Queen character, a Festivus Pole, and an OtoCast app for storytelling. Special themed nights include Taylor ‘Swiftie’ Night on November 27, Princess Night on December 5, and a family-friendly New Year’s celebration on December 31. 7th Annual Tree Light Event

November 22, 5 pm

Get ready to kick off the holiday season in style at the 7th Annual Tree Lighting Event, located at the Ground Level Village Entrance. Your entire family can enjoy an exciting lineup featuring an enchanting holiday princess, elves, a stilt-walking toy soldier, and the amazing XFactor Drumline. Plus, a festive parade with Santa. 60th Annual New Rochelle Thanksgiving Parade

November 23, 10 am – 1 pm

The New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the City of New Rochelle, is excited to present the 60th Annual Thanksgiving Parade. The parade will kick off at the Huguenot Children’s Library and proceed along North Avenue to Bonnefoy Place. Families can look forward to a delightful celebration featuring giant parade balloons, marching bands, colorful floats, vintage cars, dancers, singers, and participants from local colleges, schools, businesses, and community organizations. The Great Holiday Train Show

Saturdays and Sundays, 10 am – 4 pm, through January 4, 2025

The beloved annual tradition is back for its fourth year, featuring three exciting new train displays, including an expanded LEGO layout and village. Families won’t want to miss cherished family favorites like the Polar Express and Santa’s Double Track Holiday Train. Children can engage in a Scavenger Hunt through the historic Horace Greeley house, enjoy crafting sessions in the activity room, play at the train table, or capture memorable moments by sitting on the mini train for perfect photo opportunities. Mary Poppins at Yorktown Stage

Yorktown Stage is bringing a childhood classic to life. In the musical “Mary Poppins,” the beloved nanny arrives to help the troubled Banks family in 1910 England. Young siblings Jane and Michael, who have gone through many nannies, learn the importance of valuing each other with Mary Poppins’ magical and practical guidance. As she takes them on memorable adventures, both children and adults discover that “Anything can happen if you let it.”

This captivating musical combines an engaging story, memorable songs, impressive dance numbers, and innovative stagecraft. Based on P.L. Friendsgiving at the Village Branch

Children ages 5 to 12 won’t want to miss the chance to celebrate Thanksgiving in the charming style of Charlie Brown! This event will offer children the chance to create crafts, a “traditional” Snoopy feast with jellybeans, popcorn, pretzels, and toast, and the classic “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.” Registration is now open. Ann’s Place 22nd Annual Festival of Trees

November 22 – 24, 10 am – 5 pm

Ann’s Place is hosting the 22nd Annual Festival of Trees, “Celebrating Traditions,” at The Summit in Danbury to kick off the holiday season. Families can expect live performances, beautifully decorated trees, holiday shopping, raffles, and children’s crafts.

Special events include Sip, Stroll & Shop on November 22 from 4 pm to 7 pm, offering holiday shopping and a complimentary drink. On November 23 from 7 pm to 10 pm, adults 21 and older can attend Tastings at the Lodge, featuring wine, spirits, a build-your-own mac and cheese station, and live music.
