Celebrate Family & Art at Pelham Art Center’s We Are Family Benefit
If you’re a lover of art and are looking for a community space in Pelham, The Pelham Art Center is calling all members of the community to join in on some community fun this month. The Pelham Art Center (PAC) in Westchester is set to host its first annual “We Are Family” Benefit event on Sunday, March 23, from 10 am to 12 pm. This event has been developed to support the center’s operations as well as its scholarship and youth education programs that bring the community together through art. The money raised from this event at PAC will contribute to various public programs offered by the Pelham Art Center, which benefit artists of all ages in our community.

What to Expect
Located at 155 Fifth Ave, the Pelham Art Center will serve as the venue for this special morning filled with hands-on art activities, light refreshments, and plenty of family-friendly fun. This year’s host committee includes Melissa Brice, Alexandra Charney, Annie Donofrio, Carly Glick, Rebecca Scott, and Michele Westrick.
Rebecca Silver, President of the PAC Board of Directors, shared, “I am thrilled to co-chair the Pelham Art Center’s first family benefit, at PAC we are always innovating, and this event is a great example of one of the many ways we are experimenting with new programming for young families. As a mom of three, I am confident this will be a fun-filled morning for all.”
One of the highlights of the event will be a mask-making workshop led by artist Zafiro Acevedo. Families will have the opportunity to express their creativity while learning new techniques from a skilled artist. In addition to the workshop, the Pelham Art Center will feature activities organized by the Teen Art Council.
For families looking to capture memories from the day, a photo booth will be available for all to use. The Pelham Art Center will also host a raffle during the event. Raffle prizes include a variety of exciting items, such as free family memberships and birthday party packages at the Pelham Art Center itself, art supplies, and gift baskets donated by local businesses.
Artistic & Development Director Hayley Ferbe also shared, “This first iteration of our ‘We Are Family’ Benefit is an exciting opportunity to further engage the support of families in our community. We plan to make this an annual event to bring families together through art, creativity, and community in addition to raising funds for our youth education programming.”
