Westchester’s Summer Festivals and Celebrations
In the blink of an eye, June has already arrived, and our Westchester families are looking for activities to fill their summer calendars. As we all know, Westchester County is massive, so there’s always something to do, but it’s a full-blown extravaganza in the summer. There’s no shortage of fun activities, from concerts to carnivals and festivals, and we always have you covered. Today, we’re bringing Westchester families a complete list of summer fairs, festivals, and celebrations that will be popping up this season and are guaranteed fun for the entire family. The Scarsdale Music Festival (6/1)
The Scarsdale Music Festival (SMF) is a family-friendly community event that brings together music lovers of all ages. The festival features bands from Scarsdale and the greater Tri-State Area performing on two main stages and an acoustic stage. Families can enjoy a variety of food options from food trucks and vendors. The Grand Tasting Village will showcase elite wines from around the world, specialty cocktails, and food pairings, and guests aged 21 and over can purchase beer and wine by the glass. The Family Fun Zone will also offer carnival games, face painters, arts and crafts, musical demonstrations, DIY and STEAM activities, sports, inflatables, and more.
Chappaqua’s 87th Annual Strawberry Festival (6/1)
Enjoy a fun-filled (and delicious!) day of games, bounce castles, live music, a petting zoo, bake sales, and strawberries at this annual community event. Located at The Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Chappaqua, Westchester’s longest-running festival can’t be missed.
26th Annual Asian-American Heritage Festival (6/1)
Westchester County’s annual Asian-American Heritage Festival will be held at the Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla. Here’s what you can expect at this year’s festival: according to the Westchester County Parks department, “This cultural festival will showcase Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Indian, Thai and Vietnamese cultures with live songs, dances, musical performances, Asian arts and cultural exhibits, Chinese paper cutting and origami, and ethnic foods. It will also include, children’s entertainment, balloon sculptures, games and face painting. Free medical and dental screenings will be available to attendees.”
Tarrytown Street Fair (6/1)
Main Street will transform into an outdoor market with food, music, local retailers, arts & crafts, souvenirs, and more. Families can explore more local shopping at Tarrytown’s and Sleepy Hollow’s galleries, gift shops, and antique stores. The event will be rescheduled in case of rain to Sunday, June 2nd, 2024.
Westchester Craft Crawl (6/1)
Join Westchester artists as they lead us into a world of crafts and one-of-a-kind goodies for this year’s Westchester Craft Crawl. This free artist-organized outdoor studio tour in Westchester will showcase over 40 regional professional craft artists specializing in various mediums such as clay, wood, fiber, jewelry, glass, and mixed media. Explore Westchester on June 1st and 2nd, and check out the crafts on display in Ossining and Croton-on-Hudson this spring.
Port Chester Arts Festival (6/1)
The Annual Port Chester Arts Festival will be on Saturday, June 1st, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Enjoy exhibitions, open studios, workshops, performances, and pop-up installations. It’s a free event suitable for all ages, so bring the entire family.
The White Plains Outdoor Arts Festival (6/1-6/2)
For 50 years, this Westchester festival has offered handmade items like paintings, photography, ceramics, jewelry, and more. The event also includes a free children’s art workshop and tasty bites from local food vendors.
Fine Day Fair Home and Garden Show (6/1-6/2)
Fine Day is a seasonal countryside fair in Westchester County, bringing together over 60 brands, makers, and artisans. The June annual Home & Garden showcase features antiques, homewares, garden essentials, plants, and artisan goods. It’s a place to meet tastemakers, support small businesses, and shop for unique finds.
Yonkers Puerto Rican/Hispanic Parade & Festival (6/2)
The Yonkers Hispanic Cultural Foundation will host the highly anticipated annual Puerto Rican Parade & Festival on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024. The event promises a day filled with vibrant celebrations, including a lively parade and a festive cultural festival. Families are invited to mark their calendars and prepare to immerse themselves in Puerto Rican culture’s rich traditions and vibrant spirit.
Albanian Cultural Celebration (6/2)
The upcoming cultural festival will feature Albanian cuisine, traditional dancing, sports, and live performances by Liria Dedvukaj, Valdet Luka, and DJ Edi. Westchester County aims to promote diversity and inclusion and offer an opportunity to learn about Albanian heritage. The festival at Kensico Dam Plaza will take place rain or shine, with informal seating on the lawn. Coolers are not allowed, and admission and parking are free.
Croton-on-Hudson Summerfest 2024 (6/2)
The Village of Croton-on-Hudson will host its 36th Annual Summerfest street fair in the Upper Village area on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The event will feature live music, entertainment, delicious food, and over 100 street vendors.
Katonah Firefighter’s Carnival (6/5-6/8)
Get ready to kick off the summer at the Katonah Fire Department Carnival. It’s happening from June 5th to June 8th and will be a blast. There’ll be tons of exciting rides, fun games, and all your favorite carnival snacks.
Armonk Lions Club Fol-de-Rol Festival (6/6-6/9)
Experience four days of excitement at the annual Fol de Rol County Fair! From Friday, June 6th to Sunday, June 9th, you can enjoy thrilling rides, captivating entertainment, a variety of food trucks offering delicious treats, and a plethora of fun activities for the whole family.
The Sleepy Hollow Music Festival (6/8)
The Sleepy Hollow Music Festival is coming to the banks of the Hudson River on Saturday, June 8, 2024! Families can join the event at Kingsland Point Park for a full day of live music, food and drinks, interactive art highlighting the Hudson Valley, and kids’ entertainment.
Beacon Sloop Club’s Strawberry Festival (6/9)
Take a trip to Beacon for the Beacon Sloop Club’s Strawberry Festival. Held at Pete and Toshi Seeger Riverfront Park, this free event also includes live music from two solar-powered stages, activities for the kids, and shopping from local craft, food, and drink vendors. And, of course, you must head to the Strawberry Tent to buy some fresh strawberry shortcakes, smoothies, and chocolate-covered strawberries!
Picks & Pickleball (6/22)
Westchester’s first music and pickleball festival, Picks & Pickleball, is set to take place on Saturday, June 22nd, at Chilmark Park in Briarcliff Manor. Presented by the Village of Briarcliff Manor and produced by River Towns Music Group, this family-friendly event will feature live music, beer and wine from Captain Lawrence, food trucks, vendors, and kids’ activities. Cross Court Pickleball will also organize a friendly pickleball tournament.
Puerto Rican Flag Raising and Street Festival (6/22)
Celebrate Puerto Rican culture with live bomba drumming, dance, and performances. There will be a flag raising at 11 a.m. at Renaissance Plaza, followed by a street festival from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Court St. in White Plains. These events are free, and all are welcome.
African American Heritage Festival (6/23)
The African-American Heritage Festival, held on June 23rd at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla, NY, will offer live entertainment, music, dance, drama, poetry, food, and more. Admission is free, and there is on-site parking, with overflow parking available at nearby train stations. A complimentary shuttle service will be provided from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Health screenings will also be available. Bring out the entire family to celebrate this rich culture.
American Roots Music Festival at Caramoor (6/29)
Head to Caramoor with the family for the summer annual American Roots Music Festival. The festival features a day filled with music across various genres and will showcase multiple artists. The grounds open at noon, music starts at 12:30 p.m., and the headliner takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Seating is recommended for daytime performances, and the evening headliner performance has reserved seating.

Hispanic Heritage Festival (7/7)
Westchester families are invited to celebrate Hispanic culture and traditions at the Hispanic Heritage Festival on Sunday, July 7th, from noon to 7 p.m. at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla. The festival will feature dancing, arts & crafts, food, special activities for children, health vendors, educational vendors, and much more.
Pleasantville Music Festival (7/13)
Mark your calendars for the Pleasantville Music Festival on Saturday, July 13th, 2024. Join music lovers for a day of live rock music, food, drinks, and fun activities. There will be a beer and wine garden for the adults and entertainment for your little ones. The festival also features a zero-waste program and opportunities to support charities. The event will take place at Parkway Field in Pleasantville.
Bear Mountain Native American Celebration & Powwow (7/13-7/14)
Head to Bear Mountain for the Bear Mountain Native American Celebration & Powwow. Families are invited to celebrate Indigenous culture. The event is open to all and will provide an opportunity to learn, support, and celebrate Indigenous communities.
Irish-American Heritage Festival (7/14)
The American Irish Association of Westchester will host the annual Irish-American Heritage Festival on July 14th from noon until 6 p.m. at Ridge Road Park in Hartsdale—more details to come.
The Sleepy Hollow Music Festival (7/20)
The Sleepy Hollow Mermaid Festival is held in Sleepy Hollow. The festivities start with a parade on land and water featuring mermaids, pirates, and sturgeon marching along the riverfront park. At the same time, costumed kayakers and stand-up paddlers glide along the Hudson. After the parade, an all-ages party in the park will follow, complete with music, community art activities, face painting, food trucks, and bounce houses.
Italian Heritage Festival (7/21)
The Italian Heritage Festival runs from noon to 6 p.m. on July 21st. It will feature delicious Italian food, arts and crafts, children’s games, dancing, children’s exhibits, and family fun—more details to come.
Caramoor Jazz Festival (7/27)
Caramoor is bringing all the jazzy tunes to Westchester families this July. The festival will feature jazz performances in beautiful gardens and unique venues. Families can enjoy performances throughout the day, with the evening performance by piano sensation Matthew Whitaker. Families should bring their own seating for daytime sets and note that the evening headliner performance has reserved seating.
Indian Heritage Festival (8/4)
The 14th Annual Heritage of India Festival will be held on Sunday, August 4th, from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla as part of Westchester County’s annual series of cultural heritage celebrations. The festival will showcase Indian culture with delicious foods, live music, folk dancing, cultural performances, and a fashion show featuring colorful native clothing. Festival-goers will also be able to decorate themselves with Mehndi, the traditional henna bridal make-up from India.
Katonah Classic Stage Film Festival (8/10)
For the fifth year, the Katonah Classic Stage will partner with Bedford Playhouse to celebrate and uplift various stories on film. Head to the playhouse lawn for short films from Bedford, Westchester, New York, and the world. The program will feature young up-and-coming filmmakers and will be a family-friendly day for those who love cinema.
Beacon Sloop Club Corn Festival (8/11)
The Beacon Sloop Club will host another festival this summer: their Corn Festival. The event will be held at Pete and Toshi Seeger Riverfront Park. It is family-friendly and free to attend. Attendees can enjoy sweet Hudson Valley corn, live music, children’s activities, and free sails on the Beacon Sloop Club’s boat. The event supports the club’s public sailing program and environmental education efforts.
Jewish Heritage Festival (8/18)
