It’s time for another awesome Westchester weekend. Now that summer’s here, the fun pretty much never stops, and our weekends are full of fun events. This weekend’s a special one; we’re bringing you some fun Father’s Day events that will be fun for the entire family. Time to start making plans for a fun weekend with Dad!

Ukrainian Heritage Festival
Head to Yonkers this weekend for the annual Ukrainian Heritage Festival. This festival promises three days of fun, food, music, vendors, fair rides, and lots of family fun. Finding Nemo Jr. – Workshop Production
Bring your little ones to a performance of a Disney favorite this weekend at Random Farms Kid’s Theatre. Disney’s “Finding Nemo Jr.“ is a 60-minute musical adaptation of the 2003 Pixar movie “Finding Nemo,“ with new music by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. The intended audience age is three and up. The performers in this production are students from 3rd to 5th grade. Finding Nemo JR. is designed for theater-goers aged three and up, and children under three are not permitted in the theater. Tickets for the show are available at two price points: regular tickets for $20 and premium seating in the first five rows of the center orchestra for $30. Yonkers Waterfront Live Concert Series
Bring the entire family out by the water for a night of free music. This weekend kicks off the Free Live Music on the River: Yonkers Waterfront Live Concert Series, which will run through August. The series will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Waterfront Amphitheatre, next to the Yonkers Pier, at 71 Water Grant Street, Yonkers, NY.

Run Wild for Father’s Day, Greenburgh Nature Center
Greenburgh Nature Center invites families on June 15th and 16th to Run Wild on an improved 1.25-mile forest run and obstacle course with climbing walls, balance beams, rope challenges, and belly crawls. It is suitable for all ages starting from 5+, and parents are highly encouraged to join. Family Art Workshop: Dad’s Key Charm
Check out the Family Art Workshop event at the Hudson River Museum in the Greene Education Center on Saturday, June 15th, and Sunday, June 16th, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This activity is perfect for families and is free with general admission. Kids aged four and above can create a unique keychain for Dad using beads, keychain rings, shrinkable plastic sheets, and Sharpies. Father’s Day Hike at Lasdon Park
Head to Lasdon Park for a Father’s Day hike on the Trail of Honor! This hike is perfect for families with children of all ages and will kick off at 10:30 a.m. from the entrance next to the parking lot. The trail will be easy, with gentle slopes and a length of about .5 to 1 mile. Remember to pack bug spray, water, and snacks. While they recommend registration, walk-ins are also welcome. The hike will be canceled if it rains. Participants are advised to wear walking or hiking shoes as strollers won’t be suitable on this trail.
