Digital Arts Experience
Yes, we live in a digital world and even though your children are probably more knowledgeable about the digital world than most adults, there’s always more to learn. Now a new program, Digital Arts Experience, offers a course of study in animation, photography, audio and video production, web design and graphic design and illustration.
Prepare your youngster to take on the world of digital media and have fun doing it as well. Classes for adults too! Digital Arts Experience, 170 Hamilton Ave., White Plains. 414-5379. www.thedae.com.
Farmer & the Fish
There’s a new restaurant in Purdy’s that celebrates locally grown food and quality seafood. The Farmer & the Fish is nestled within a 22-acre Land Trust in an 18th century house that is on the National Register of Historic Places. Owners Edward Taylor and Michael Kaphan serve brunch, lunch and dinner with fresh fish from Down East Seafood and fresh produce from the five-acre farm they operate right next to the restaurant. That’s pretty local and pretty fresh if you ask us. And just in time for healthy summer eating. Reservations accepted. 100 Titicus Road, North Salem. 617-8380. www.farmerandthefish.com.
